General hints and help on using the Site To get back to the front page at any time, you can either click on the George Clarke Print Collection logo at the top of each page or choose home from the navigation menu situated on the left of each page (or towards the bottom of pages of search results). While searching through the database it may help you to keep a note of the ID numbers or location numbers for any prints that you find that are of particular interest. This will allow you to return directly to these records using the Go direct to record option listed under Advanced Searching. Please be aware that not all of the data for the search options offered have been entered for each print. Designer, engraver, publisher and date of publication may not have been known to the cataloguer and so these fields may have been left blank. This means that it is worth trying a variety of different searches. There are also volumes in the Library which have been deemed to be illustrated books rather than sets of prints and so have not been included in the catalogue. Other categories, including almanacs, some maps, and prints which did not belong to George Clarke, have also been excluded. If you cannot find the information you require using the web site, then you may wish to contact the Librarian at Worcester College with your enquiry. For further details about how to use each of the search options available choose The Searches from the menu on the left hand side of your screen or click on the question mark image next to each search form. The database currently contains 59 images of the prints only. |
